It's also designed to be wider at the base and more slender toward the tip to give your bird's feet a workout with different grip sizes. The unique shape also keeps your feathered friend perched on the middle to the end, rather than near the cage to help keep the mess inside the cage. Your pet bird will love how natural the sand feels and which also helps keep your bird's nails healthy with normal wear.
