Moistening the perch with warm water first really does cut down the dust, which I wasn't expecting. My cockatiel's favorite branch looks and feels clean again instead of that grimy buildup. Way easier than scrubbing with a plain cloth.
I let the perch dry for months and the dust was awful, but dampening it first with warm water made this cleaner work way better than a rag. It pulled the caked gunk out of the grooves in a couple passes.
The scraping action gets into the grooves way better than my old paper towel method, and my conure's perches look almost new after a quick pass. It's sturdy enough to handle some serious scrubbing without bending, which I appreciate.
